| Description: | This content integrates the divulgation actions of the project UFPA Multimedia, which makes available in this institutional repository the scientific production developed in the extent of the Federal University of Pará, in multimedia languages. The video presents the testimonial of one of the coordinators of the project, the professor Marianne Kogut Eliasquevici, collaborator researcher of the Coordinating Body of the Teaching Material Production from the Consultantship of Distance Learning of the UFPA. The interviewee initially talks about the importance of the Information and Communication Technologies (TICs) for the graduation teaching, which meets to the proposal of the CAPES publication, which financed the repository construction. So Marianne highlights the relevance of the tripod: teaching, research and extension and emphasizes the repository contribution for professors and, mainly, for students of the distance mode course.
After, the professor explains the DSpace working, support used to construct the repository and reports the worry the staff must have with the selection of the metadata and the cataloguing of the multimedia materials. In this axis, Marianne comments on the organization of the information architecture, the differential of the UFPA Multimedia, such as the popularization of contents produced in the region. The interviewee tells some of the challenges of the work with a multidisciplinary work, exercise which helped to add learning and different specialties of knowledge. At the end, the researcher comments on the expectations for the repository use by the future users. |
